Flowforming in petrochemichal industry
A considerable amount of pipes in this industry are made of superalloy materials,Inconel and similar materials, and are used for superheated steam and steam-related equipment. The standard method is machining pipes with 90 mm thickness and reducing the thickness to 20 to 35. With ultra-heavy flowforming, there is no need for high-volume machining, and it can save a lot of raw material.
In heating plants, tubes leading to turbines, pipes up to a diameter of 800 mm and a thickness of 35 mm are used from the following materials:
ASTM F91, A182 series, F92 or F22
